# The $13 Bra That Surprised Me — Honest Thoughts on Our Best-Selling Hollow Out Bralette I'll be straight with you: when this bra first landed in our stockroom, I figured it was going to be one of those pieces that looks great in photos and gets returned within a week. We've all ordered cheap bralettes online and regretted it. So I wore one for a month before writing a single word about it, and I had a couple of my coworkers do the same. Here's the actual verdict on the Sexy Hollow Out Bra (SKU P3256810480510949) — what it's made of, who it's really for, and where it falls short, because no bra is perfect and I'm not going to pretend otherwise. Let's talk materials first, since that's where cheap lingerie usually gives itself away. This one is a nylon-spandex blend with a good amount of stretch to it, and the lace sections have a soft hand — not that scratchy, stiff stuff you sometimes get at this price point. The hollow-out pattern is cut into the fabric itself rather than glued on as an overlay, so there's nothing to peel or fray at the edges. The cups have a molded shape with a thin layer of padding built in, and there's no underwire at all — just a wide elastic band running under the bust for support. Stitching along the band and shoulder straps was clean on every piece I inspected, no loose threads, which honestly surprised me for the price. Is it heirloom quality? No. But it's constructed better than a lot of things I've paid twice as much for. Now the specifications, since I know people want numbers. This is a one-size item, which for this style means it fits roughly a 32A through 36C comfortably — if you're outside that range, be honest with yourself before ordering, because no single-size garment can bend physics. The band measures about 25 inches relaxed with enough stretch to reach around 34 or 35, the straps are adjustable, and the cup depth sits around 3.7 inches at the fullest point. It's wireless, seamless, and the push-up effect comes from the molded cup shape and side gathering rather than any rigid insert. It comes in five colors — black, white, red, blue, and pink — and the price is $13.09. One size, five colors, no complicated decision tree. I like that. So what do you actually do with it? Three real scenarios come to mind. First, it's a great everyday bra for wearing under loose tops, thin sweaters, or anything fitted where visible seams and strap ridges drive you nuts — the seamless build genuinely disappears under clothing. Second, it's clearly designed for occasions when you want to look good without spending $60 — date nights, anniversaries, honeymoons, that kind of thing. The hollow-out lace detail reads as intentional and a little bit flirty rather than cheap. Third, and this is the one people forget: it works as a loungewear bra. The wireless construction and soft band mean you can sleep or binge-watch in it without feeling like you're strapped into anything. Speaking personally, it's become the bra I reach for on work-from-home days when I still want some shape but refuse to deal with an underwire. Care and use is refreshingly simple, which I appreciate in anything I sell. Hand wash it in cold water with a little mild detergent — a few drops is plenty — then lay it flat to dry, away from direct sun and definitely not in the dryer. If you absolutely must machine wash, use a mesh lingerie bag on the gentlest cycle and cold water. The elastic band is the part that ages first in any bra, so treat it gently and it'll hold its shape. To put it on, fasten the hook-and-eye closure in back or step into it and pull it up, whichever you prefer, then adjust the straps so the band sits level — not riding up in back. Buy your usual range, but skip it if you're looking for serious support, as I'll get into next. Let's do pros and cons honestly. On the pro side: the fabric is genuinely soft, the price is low enough to buy two or three colors without guilt, the lace detail looks more expensive than it is, no underwire means no poking, it's light enough for summer, and shipping has been fast and consistent. On the con side, and I won't sugarcoat this: one size does not fit everyone. If you're a 38 band or a D cup, this isn't the bra for you, full stop. Because there's no wire, it offers light-to-moderate support — great for casual wear, not for running or high-impact anything. A few customers have told me the material lost some snap after about a year of regular washing, which is fair for $13. And the padding is modest; it gives a gentle lift, not a dramatic transformation. If you expect a push-up that defies gravity, you'll be disappointed. From a design standpoint, here's why this bra works and who it suits best. The hollow-out lace isn't just decorative — it's what keeps the bra breathable, because those little cutouts give heat somewhere to escape instead of trapping it against your skin. The absence of a wire combined with a wider elastic band distributes pressure across the ribcage rather than concentrating it at two points, which is why you can wear it all day without that familiar ache. The single-size approach keeps manufacturing costs down, and that savings goes to you. In practice, this bra suits two types of shoppers very well: the 32A-to-36C woman who wants something pretty, soft, and cheap for daily wear or a special night, and anyone building a starter lingerie drawer who doesn't want to commit serious money per piece. It's not built for maximum busts or maximum support — it's built for comfort, looks, and value, and it nails all three. At $13.09 with SKU P3256810480510949, it's the kind of purchase where the downside risk is basically a coffee and a muffin, and most people will be pleasantly surprised.
