We've been selling oracle and tarot decks for a few years now, and I've learned to spot the difference between a deck that was made to be looked at and a deck that was made to be used. The Angel Wishes Oracle Cards fall firmly into the second category. It's a 40-piece deck that comes in at just over ten bucks, and when I first unboxed our sample, I'll be honest — I expected the usual thin, flimsy cardstock you get at this price point. That's not what showed up. Let's start with what it's actually made of, because that's the question I get asked most. The cards are printed on a coated paper stock with a smooth, low-glare finish — think the texture of a decent playing card rather than the glossy, sticky feel of a cheap poster. They're flexible without being floppy, and the edges are cut cleanly, which matters more than people realize. Ragged or fuzzy edges snag on each other when you shuffle, and I didn't find that here. The print quality itself holds up well; the imagery is soft and ethereal in the way angel-themed decks usually are, and the colors haven't faded or smudged on the set I've been handling on and off for a couple of months now. The whole deck weighs about 76 grams, so it's light enough to toss in a bag without noticing. Now for the exact specs, because I know some of you want numbers before you commit. Each card measures approximately 11.1 by 6.1 centimeters. That's a compact size — smaller than a standard tarot card, closer to a large playing card or a mini oracle deck. Forty cards total, all in English. The weight of the full deck sits around 76 grams, and the box is slim, so it travels well. On colors, availability shifts with the supplier, so I'd just point you to the product page rather than promise something I can't guarantee — the listing will show what's actually in stock when you're reading this. Standard sizing across the deck means they stack evenly and shuffle consistently, which sounds like a small thing until you've owned a deck where one card is a millimeter off and it drives you up the wall. So what do people actually do with these? Plenty, as it turns out. One of my regulars bought a set for her daughter's sleepover, and the girls spent the evening doing readings for each other on the living room floor — no ritual, no candles, just giggles and a lot of "okay, draw another one." That's a perfectly good use. Another customer keeps hers on the kitchen windowsill and pulls one card each morning while the coffee brews, more as a journaling prompt than anything mystical. And I've had at least two people tell me they use them as a dinner-table icebreaker with extended family, passing the deck around and having everyone interpret a card before dessert. That last one surprised me, but it makes sense — forty cards is small enough that nobody feels overwhelmed. Using them is about as simple as it gets. Shuffle however you like, hold a question in mind if you want, pull a card, read it. Most people I've talked to don't bother with spreads; they just draw one or three. If you're the type who likes a little structure, a three-card pull for past, present, and future works fine. Maintenance is mostly just keeping them dry and out of direct sun. Wipe the faces with a soft dry cloth if they get smudged, and store them back in the box or a small pouch so they don't pick up dust or bend in a drawer. I wouldn't leave them sitting on a dashboard in July. That's it — no special oils, no elaborate care routine. Now the honest part. What's good: the size is genuinely pocket-friendly, the price is low enough to gift without thinking twice, forty cards keeps readings snappy, and the build quality punches above its weight class. What's less good: if you're used to big, luxurious oracle decks with thick gilt edges, these will feel small and modest in your hands — because they are. The finish isn't matte-linen, it's coated paper, so over years of heavy daily use you'd probably see wear before a premium deck would show any. And because the deck is compact, the artwork doesn't have much room to breathe; these are intimate little cards, not table centerpieces. I also wouldn't call the guide material extensive — you're mostly working from the images and a short insert, which suits intuitive readers fine and leaves beginners a bit more to figure out on their own. Here's my take as someone who's handled a lot of decks. The design logic here is portability plus low barrier to entry. Eleven by six centimeters and seventy-six grams means this deck can live in a purse, a glovebox, or a backpack side pocket, and at 10.99 nobody agonizes over whether they're "allowed" to own oracle cards. The forty-card count is deliberate too — it's enough variety that repeated pulls don't feel repetitive, but few enough that you learn the whole deck in a week or two. This suits casual readers, families, teens, gift-givers, and anyone curious about divination who doesn't want to drop forty dollars to find out if they like it. It's less suited to collectors chasing heavy, art-book-grade decks. If that's you, this isn't your set, and that's fine. Everyone else — especially anyone searching for something fun and affordable under SKU P3256812376305959 — will get their money's worth.
